A Message from Maura

Dear friend,

Made in His Image is both a ministry and non-profit, helping women of all ages suffering from eating disorders, depression, anxiety, or physical and/or sexual abuse find psychological, spiritual, and emotional healing. We are passionate about uncovering the shroud of silence associated with mental health and therapy. We are here to encourage and inspire—your story is important to us.

Our ultimate dream is to build the first Catholic inpatient medical center for women recovering from eating disorders and abuse. Outpatient services would also be available for those needing less rigorous care. The patients who come will be treated holistically—body, mind, and spirit. I know that with your support this dream can become a reality.

Your financial support is needed for this ministry to expand and flourish. Your donations go directly towards helping women in our support groups, therapy scholarships, speaking events, and positive social media platforms, which is desperately needed in our society today. Our encouraging and transparent social media has helped save the lives of over fifty women since our launch in 2011. When you give to Made in His Image, you are helping a woman discover their worth and dignity. You are breaking the stigma with mental health and helping save the life of woman in need. You are igniting change. You are making a difference.

With gratitude,

How You Can Help

$50

Help break the stigma surrounding mental health

The average millennial spends almost 6 hours a day on their phone, checking it over 100 times daily. Through our social media platforms, we bring positive and encouraging content to those seeking hope and healing in their lives. Through authentic conversations and powerful stories we are always working towards breaking the stigma associated with mental health and uncovering the shroud of silence associated with therapy and medication.

$150

Support groups and therapy scholarship

We firmly believe that people need other people. But the reality is that so many people are journeying through this life alone and navigating their mental health in silence. Through giving to our nation wide support groups and therapy scholarships you are helping thousands of individuals get the support and care they so desperately need. You are helping save lives.

$500

Made in His Image’s first workshop / retreat

The work of Made in His Image is followed by tens of thousands of people around the world. It’s our dream to bring some of these people together for an event to share stories, be inspired, learn, grow, be vulnerable and authentic, receive healing, and build community. Your gift to this campaign will make this dream a reality and help inspire and encourage thousands of lives to know that they are not alone in their journeys of healing.

Start a Fundraiser

There are several ways you can create your own fundraiser to help support Made In His Image. Here are just a few ideas.

Donate a Birthday

Turn your big day into a celebration of hope by donating your birthday. It’s a chance to celebrate your story and give those struggling a chance to find the hope and help they deserve.

Holiday Gifts

40% of all of our donations are made during the holiday months. Help us raise funds to break the stigma and shame surrounding mental health and recovery.

Sports Fundraiser

Whether you’re running your first 5K, marathon, skydiving for the first time, or anything in between, use your next sporting event to raise funds and awareness to help women in need.

Memorial Gift

A memorial campaign is a meaningful way to celebrate the life of loved one lost to a mental illness. Honor their memory by the way they lived, not by the way they died, and help ensure a better tomorrow for others struggling with mental illness.

Group Project

Have a group project for school, youth group or church? Join forces with MIHI and help us continue to offer hope and support to women recovering from eating disorders, abuse, body image struggles and self-worth, as you help them discover that they are enough.

Be Creative

Show us your imagination by creating a fundraiser of your choice. Help MIHI shine a light in the shroud of darkness associated with mental health and let others know that their story is important and worth sharing.
