From the Heart of a Young (well not so young) Entrepreneur

A lot has been happening and Made in His Image is really growing. Today, at adoration it hit me, Made in His Image is actually a legal non-profit organization. Like, we are legit!! I couldn’t stop smiling! Praise the Father for His glory! I’m working on several projects right now and I can’t wait to share them all with you.

When I go a few days without posting, people ask if I’m okay. Thanks for your concern, I’m beyond great and have just been busy. But stay tuned, because I have some great posts planned for the next few days.

First of all, it’s Holy Week and as the sun sets and the Triduum begins, let us contemplate what Jesus must have been thinking and feeling as He embarks on His final mission – to suffer, be scourged, rejected, spit upon, crowned with thorns, made to carry His cross, stripped of His garments and nailed to a cross for love for us. That is how much our Father loves us, that He would send His only Son to die for us. Let us strive to make our hearts a Bethany (place of rest) for Christ during these next few days.

On Monday, my best friend Karissa made her FIRST EVER Confession! Thank you to all who prayed for her, I am exceedingly grateful for your kindness towards her. She was nervous, as is to be expected, but the Holy Spirit showered her with His grace and wisdom. Afterwards, she said to me, ‎Maura I just can’t stop smiling, I wish I could explain how I feel. Blessed be God! He is alive my friends and waiting for us to come to Him, so He can make our souls and hearts anew. Will you not give Him the pleasure of being your Savior?

Please continue to pray for Karissa, as she prepares to enter into full Communion with the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil this Saturday. Her confirmation Saint is Mary Magdalene! Please pray for her intercession for Karissa!

When I first started blogging I had a post each Wednesday called Wednesday’s Inspiration (so creative, I know). I stopped doing it several months ago and am starting it back up. Here is today’s inspiration.

Several times during therapy, especially when it was so incredibly hard and emotionally draining, I would close my eyes and picture my future children. I imagined their tiny hands and toes and how quickly they would grow up and all that I desire to teach them. One day when they are grown, I am going to tell them how they helped me get through trauma therapy. If you are having a hard time making it through therapy, or haven’t started therapy yet, but know you need to, think of all that you hope to accomplish in life and how you first need to heal. I challenge you to take your suffering and turn it into beauty.
