What is Divine Mercy?

cover 25th

One time one of the men who abused me came to me full of sorrow. He looked at me and said, How could God ever forgive me? I told him about Divine Mercy and we prayed a Chaplet together. God’s mercy is the answer and I’ve seen the grace from the Chaplet and this novena work miracles.

I want to invite you to pray the Divine Mercy Novena with Made in His Image over the next nine days. You might be asking, What is Divine Mercy? What’s the Chaplet? And what’s this novena all about? Those are great questions and below you will find the answers. For the next nine days, I will post the daily reading from the novena on our facebook page. Please like and share it. Let’s blow-up facebook with God’s mercy.

You in?

When is the feast of Divine Mercy?

The Sunday after Easter.

The Novena

Jesus asked that the Feast of the Divine Mercy be preceded by a Novena (prayer for nine days) to the Divine Mercy which would begin on Good Friday. He gave St. Faustina an intention to pray for on each day of the Novena, saving for the last day the most difficult intention of all, the lukewarm and indifferent.

We will post the daily prayers on our facebook page. Check back daily for them.

Graces granted from the novena:

Complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. (Diary300)

For this God asks that you go to Mass and receive Communion on the Feast Day, go to confession within a week, venerate the Divine Mercy Image and to show His mercy and forgiveness to all you encounter. (If you are in the state of mortal sin on the feast day, you must go to confession again for all punishment to be washed away…so says Jesus)!

How to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy (using Rosary beads):

1. Begin with the Sign of the Cross, 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary and The Apostles Creed.

2. Then on the Our Father Beads say the following: Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

3. On the 10 Hail Mary Beads say the following: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Repeat for all 5 decades.

4. Conclude with (three times)Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

I use to call the Chaplet the quick Rosary when I was little!

If you have any questions, please me (Maura Byrne) at [email protected]

P.S. You are enough. (And God died to prove it to you)!
